Sleigh Sliders and potatoes

Well, I promised you the recipes for the delicious meal we had during our Santa Clause movie night and here it is.  The Sleigh Sliders are a recipe I have had for years, but I cannot remember where it came from.  I wrote it down in my cookbook and didn't write down the source.

The potatoes are really Cream Cheese Potatoes and have been a hit over the years at potlucks and family meals. I am pretty sure they are not very healthy so I only make them once in a great while.

Sleigh Sliders
Ingredients:
1 package ground turkey
1/4 cup whole berry cranberry sauce
1/4 cup thinly sliced green onions
1 tsp. each poultry seasoning and garlic salt
1 package King's Hawaiian rolls
lettuce

Directions:
Mix together turkey, cranberry sauce, green onions, and seasoning in a large bowl.  Shape into 12 flat patties.  Cook on a non-stick skillet on medium heat for about 4-5 minutes each side.  Once cooked through, place on a sliced roll and top with lettuce and a little extra cranberry sauce.  These are very low in calories - less than 200 calories each slider.

Cream Cheese Potatoes:
Ingredients:
7-8 red potatoes; washed and cut into 8 pieces
1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
2 tbsp butter
1/4 cup chopped green onions
salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp garlic salt

Directions:
Cook potatoes in a large saucepan of boiled water for 20 minutes, or until tender.  Drain well.  Place potatoes in a mixer and stir in cream cheese, butter, & garlic salt.  Stir until butter and cream cheese are melted and mixed in well.  Potatoes should be fairly lumpy.  Fold in onions.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

This serves 6 people and are about 500 calories per serving so eater beware!
